Vision Care Benefits

Vision care benefits are available for you and your qualifying dependents. This benefit will reimburse you for the cost of eye examinations, frames, and/or lenses, including contact lenses.

Vision care benefits are available in the maximum amount of $300 per person each calendar year. You must be covered under the Welfare Fund on the date of service or the purchase date. In addition, the date of service or the purchase date will determine whether you have reached the maximum benefit for the year.

Any unpaid balance of your or your qualifying dependents’ vision care expenses not covered by the Welfare Fund may be submitted to the Security Benefit Fund if you have available monies in that Fund.
