Mandatory Payment Of Benefits

You should be aware that if you are eligible for retirement, benefits must commence no later than April 1st of the year following the year in which you attain age 70 1/2 regardless of whether you are employed or not. If you are employed in covered service, you may continue to work, in which event, your monthly benefit will be updated each year.
